Reflections – Education and Schools

In my generation, I believe, many more human lives have been bungled by too much throttling and repression of their instincts than by the contrary. In some of my books, for this reason, I have made myself the advocate and friend of the repressed instinctual life — but never to the detriment of the lofty imperatives formulated by the philosophers and the religions.
